A fantastic day of music and liturgy

A very successful day was had on the 11th November 2015, with music and liturgical workshops held at St. Philomena’s Primary School.

Over 160 students, teachers, members of parish choirs and other parishoners were in attendance. The workshop was led by members of the Ministry Hub and participants attended two of the three workshops on offer. These included:

  • Sing as One Voice (Led by Amanda McKenna)
  • Contemporary Music for Liturgy & Prayer (Gina Ogilvie & Monica O'Brien)
  • Rhyme, Rhythm and Ritual  (Paul Skippen)

A special ritual, ‘The Circle of Mercy’ was facilitated to coincide with the launch of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, commencing on 8th December 2015.  

The event was organized by way of partnership with the Catholic Education Office and the Diocesan Liturgy Commission.
