Blessing of Married Couples Mass
On 7th October, Bishop McKenna will celebrate the annual Blessing of Married Couples Mass in the Cathedral of St Michael and St John, at 10.00am.
All married couples and their families are invited to join the parish community at the Cathedral. Bishop McKenna will preside at the Mass and offer the Blessing.
There will also be the chance to hear from couples about the love they have experienced in their marriage.
All families are invited to attend this Mass which gives a great opportunity to follow on with a family meal or picnic afterwards, to draw attention to the important place of marriage and families.
Parishes throughout the Diocese have been encouraged to have their own celebrations on this day, acknowledging and supporting the vocation of married people.
