God bless Father Pat as he becomes the ninth Bishop of Sale
The Episcopal Ordination and Installation of Reverend Father Patrick O’Regan as the ninth Bishop of Sale will take place on Thursday 26th February before more than 1500 guests including dignitaries, clergy and well-wishers.
Many parishioners from across the Diocese will make the journey to Sale, Victoria to witness this historic event. They will join Bishop Michael McKenna; Bishop of Bathurst, Father Joe Dooley; Vicar General, Father Paul Devitt; Dean of the Catherdral and many other priests and retired priests from across the diocese who will attend. It is expected that the ordination and installation will be attended by 110 priests and 34 bishops and archbishops from across Australia.
A 160-strong choir will perform and the principal organist for St Francis’ Church in Melbourne will play during the two-and-a-half hour ceremony. A visiting organist from Germany will also play.
The ordination and installation will take place at 11am at Bishop Phelan Stadium at St Patrick’s Catholic College in Sale.
