Connor fundraising at a recent sausage sizzle
Hi, my name is Connor and I am 10 years old. I am raising awareness of homelessness and people doing it tough by sleeping rough myself on 19 August. Please sponsor me. All money I raise will go towards the following Vinnies projects in Bathurst:
Cooking for one / small families: this course runs for six weeks at a time, with all food and equipment provided. At the end of each day the people take home food they have cooked, at the end of the six weeks they take home the main electrical appliance they have used along with a kit with kitchen utensils.
Mobile food Van: to reach out to people and families in need, the van will go out into the community late afternoon or early evening and hand out meals. The van project will commence later in 2022.

A bit about Connor: Connor is 10 years old and attends a Catholic primary school in Bathurst. Connor knows about doing things tough in different ways, he has Autism and it affects a lot of what Connor would like to do, but he soldiers on. He is a gentle soul and helps Nanny fundraise for special projects. The Main Event Vinnies Community Sleepout was cancelled in Bathurst, but Connor is still going ahead with his sleepout. He has official permission and a fundraising letter from St Vincent de Paul to do so and fundraise on their behalf. The main event was hoping to raise $10,000 as it is now cancelled, Connor wants to raise half $5000. He is sleeping rough, and no ipads, no phone, no electronics etc for the night. He will have his nanny by his side – Marina.
Thank you
Connor and Nanny Marina
