Members of the Cathedral parish and the wider diocesan family gathered at the Cathedral of St Michael and St John for the 5.45pm Mass on Friday 26 June to celebrate Bishop Michael McKenna’s 17th anniversary as Bishop of Bathurst and to give thanks for his years of episcopal ministry.

The celebration provided an opportunity to thank God for Bishop McKenna’s faithful leadership and the many blessings experienced across the Diocese during his 17 years of service.

The Mass also offered those present the opportunity to pray for Bishop McKenna as he continues to serve the people of the Diocese of Bathurst.

As the Diocese continues its journey of faith, the community gave thanks for God’s guidance over the past 17 years and prayed for God’s continued blessing upon Bishop McKenna in the years ahead.
