The Catholic Diocese of Bathurst warmly invites men interested in learning about the permanent diaconate to join us for one of our regional information days this July. This is an excellent opportunity to explore a unique vocation within the Church, enriching both your spiritual life and the broader community.
The permanent diaconate or Vocational Diaconate, is a ministry of service, deeply rooted in the tradition of the Church. Deacons assist in liturgical roles, perform baptisms, witness marriages, conduct funerals, and engage in various acts of charity. This calling offers a way to live out the Gospel in everyday life, helping to connect those on the peripheries to the love and compassion of God.
