Bishop Michael McKenna ordained Kieu Van Le as a deacon at a 6.00pm Mass at the Cathedral of St Michael and St John on Friday 25 September 2026.
A large gathering, including people who had travelled from across Australia, came to celebrate this step in Kieu’s response to God’s call. Their presence reflected the support and friendship that have accompanied him through his formation.
The Catholic Diocese of Bathurst congratulates Deacon Kieu and invites everyone to pray for him as he begins his ministry.
