New Deacon for the Diocese

Bishop Michael McKenna has announced that, following recommendations from the Seminary of the Good Shepherd and our diocesan Commission for Orders, he has accepted the petition of Ha Van Tran for Ordination to the Diaconate.

The Bishop will ordain Ha as a Deacon in the Cathedral of St Michael and St John during Mass at 6.00pm on Friday 28th November 2025. Further details will be advised soon.

Ha is currently in his final year of study for the priesthood. Please keep him in your prayers as he continues his formation and moves towards ordination to the priesthood.

Ha’s Ordination to the Diaconate will be livestreamed via our Diocesan Facebook Page and U-Tube channel.
