Why?

The Church calls us to “Full, Conscious and Active Participation” in the Mass. Modern technology has made this easier. The Screen Operator facilitates full, conscious and active participation by displaying words to hymns, responses and other spoken parts of the Mass at the correct times.

Who are you?

Screen Operator is a support role that uses a Windows computer and specialised projection software.

Computer Literate

Able to, or willing to learn, to use a Windows computer and projection software

Problem-Solver

Able to troubleshoot any issues that arise

Team Member

Willing to work as part of a team with tech team, music ministers, sacristans, priests and others

Committed

Willing to commit to a roster (once a month at Mass times) and meet time, training and dress requirements

Why?

The Church calls us to “Full, Conscious and Active Participation” in the Mass. Modern technology has made this easier. The Sound Specialist facilitates full, conscious and active participation by choosing and mixing appropriate sound levels for speakers and musicians at St Mary’s.

Who are you?

Sound Specialist is a support role that uses an iPad.

iPad Literate

Confident with an iPad and willing to learn all aspects of the sound system at St Mary’s Church

Good Hearing

Able to hear and adjust sound levels before liturgy and troubleshoot as required

Team Member

Willing to work as part of a team with tech team, music ministers, sacristans, priests and others

Committed

Willing to commit to a roster (once a month at Mass times) and meet time, training and dress requirements
