The Pontifical Academy for Life will present a three-part international webinar series exploring spiritual and religious care as an essential part of good palliative care.
Palliative care seeks to support the whole person, attending not only to physical symptoms but also to the psychological, social and spiritual experiences of patients and their families. The series will offer practical insights for clinicians, chaplains, pastoral carers and others accompanying people through serious illness and at the end of life.
The first webinar, Foundations of Spiritual and Religious Care as a Core Component of Whole-Person Care, will be held on:
(Friday 9 October 2026, from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm)
International speakers will share research, experience and good practices for recognising and responding sensitively to spiritual needs.
Further webinars will follow on 13 November 2026 and 28 January 2027. Participation is free, with a Zoom registration available here. More details are available in the flyer.
