Christians are invited to unite in prayer and reflection during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, observed in Australia from 1 to 8 June 2025. This year’s theme, “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26), is drawn from Jesus’ profound question to Martha in the Gospel of John, prompting a deep reflection on faith and the promise of resurrection.
The 2025 resources have been thoughtfully prepared by the monastic community of Bose in northern Italy, in collaboration with the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the World Council of Churches. These materials offer daily prayers, reflections, and liturgical suggestions to foster ecumenical worship and dialogue among diverse Christian traditions.
This year also marks the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, a pivotal moment in Christian history that led to the formulation of the Nicene Creed—a unifying declaration of faith that continues to resonate across denominations.
May this week inspire us to deepen our faith in Christ, strengthen our bonds with fellow Christians, and renew our commitment to the unity that Jesus desires for his followers.
