Bishop Michael McKenna has announced the following appointments, which will take effect on 29th January 2024:

• Father Garry McKeown will conclude his appointments as Parish Priest of Lithgow and Portland and become Pastor Emeritus. Fr Garry will continue as a member of the Clergy Appointments Board.
• Father Reynold Jaboneta, currently Parish Priest of Oberon, will be appointed as Parish Priest of Lithgow and Portland. Fr Reynold will remain as the Diocesan Master of Ceremonies.
• Father Paul Devitt VG will be appointed Administrator of Oberon, in addition to his current appointments as Dean of the Cathedral and Administrator of Blayney.
• Father Diep Quang Nguyen, currently Assistant Priest at the Cathedral, will be appointed as the Resident Priest in Oberon. Fr Diep will continue his part-time appointment as Catholic Chaplain to Charles Sturt University.
• Father Karl Sinclair, currently Assistant Priest in Orange, will be appointed Assistant Priest in the Cathedral Parish and Blayney. Fr Karl will also assist the Bishop and the Vicar General with the Bathurst instructional office of the Interdiocesan Tribunal.
