Bishop Michael and the Diocesan Finance Council (DFC) met recently for their end-of-year meeting which included a farewell to two Council members and a welcome for one incoming Council member.

Many thanks and congratulations, in particular, were offered to Chris Dwyer and Chris Drayton who both retired from the Council after many years of committed service. Their hard work and support of the Catholic Diocese of Bathurst, the work of the DFC and the Catholic Church will be missed. David Andrews joins the DFC for 2023 and Bishop Michael extended his thanks to Andrew for taking up the role.

The ongoing DFC members of Yolanda Coote, Mathew Dickerson, Paul Morrison, Stephen Flynn, Saranne Cooke, Bernadette Denman, David Cooke and ex-officio Fr Paul Devitt, Patrick Cooper and Fr Greg Kennedy were thanked for their contributions in advising the Bishop on the important work of the financial management of the Diocese.
