The Diocese of Bathurst invites you to enrich your understanding of the scriptures by participating in Bible Formation facilitated by Dr Emmanuel Nathan and CEDB. This formation offers an incredible opportunity to delve deeper into the Word of God and discover how Scripture can illuminate your life, guide your decisions, and strengthen your faith.

Drawing inspiration from Bishop McKenna’s recent pastoral letter, we are called to a renewed focus on the Scriptures as the living Word that speaks to us in our daily lives. Bishop McKenna has reminded the Diocese that understanding the Bible is essential for all Catholics, as it forms the foundation of our faith and our encounter with Jesus Christ. This formation is designed to help you engage with the Scriptures in a meaningful personal way.

The day is structured to cater to all levels of understanding, whether you are new to studying the Bible or have been doing so for years. Through engaging sessions, you will explore the historical context of the Scriptures, learn to interpret their messages, and apply it to contemporary life. This formation will not only deepen your personal relationship with Christ but also empower you to share the Good News with others.

We encourage all members of our Diocese to take part in this journey of discovery and growth. By participating in this Bible Formation, you are responding to Bishop McKenna’s call to make the Scriptures part of our daily life and experiences of faith. There is no charge for this formation. Details are available here  on the Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst Formation for Mission website.
