Bishop Michael McKenna has announced that following recommendations from the Seminary of the Good Shepherd and our diocesan Commission for Orders, he has accepted the petitions of Cong Van Hoang and Duong Van Ha for Ordination to the Diaconate.

The Bishop will ordain Cong and Duong as deacons in the Cathedral of St Michael and St John, Bathurst on the evening of 8th September 2023, the Feast of the Nativity of Mary. Further details will be available soon.

These men are currently in their 7th, and final, year of study for the priesthood.

Please keep them both in your prayers as they continue their formation and move towards ordination.
