What does it take to plan a Pilgrimage?
Pilgrimage Coordinators from all around Australia gathered in Sydney recently to continue their planning and formation for the WYD 2023. They shared what each had learned so far in their own preparations as well as hearing output from the international preparatory meetings that took place in Lisbon last month.
Pilgrimage is an important part of the Christian life and WYD is part of that. The Catholic Diocese of Bathurst will lead a pilgrimage of around 40 young people from Bathurst to Paris, Luxembourg, Lourdes finishing in Lisbon Portugal. The pilgrimage will allow moments of encounter with locals from many different parts of the world and will allow our pilgrims to experience faith lived out in different ways. The experience will challenge each of us to go further in our faith.
Pilgrimage is about an encounter with others as well as Christ and the Diocese encourages young people to consider being part of the pilgrimage to Lisbon in 2023. For more information please visit our website.
