Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: 16 May - 23 May

Each year, between the Ascension of the Lord and Pentecost, Christians in Australia dedicate time to pray for unity among and within Churches. This year, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be celebrated from 16 May - 23 May.

The theme of this year’s celebration comes from John 15:1-7 - Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit. 

In the Bathurst Community, there will be many moments to gather and pray together:

16th May - 11am: (Ascension Sunday): Shared time of Fellowship in the grounds of the Catholic Cathedral of St Michael and St John; coffee and cake available (tour of recently renovated Cathedral offered).

18th May - 11am: Time of Prayer in All Saints Anglican Cathedral.

19th May - 9am-2pm: Free Safe Church Awareness Workshop offered to all leaders in Bathurst. Venue: Catholic Cathedral Parish Centre. Registrations via email to (remove XX) admin XX @bathurst XX .catholic.org.au

20th May - 6pm: Time of Prayer in the Catholic Cathedral of St Michael and St John.

23rd May - 11am: (Pentecost Sunday) SRE time of Prayer, Parish Centre of the Cathedral of St Michael and St John.
